Family Promise Safe Parking Breakfasts

You may be aware that the City of Colorado Springs has recently passed a camping ordinance that makes living in vehicles illegal. For Family Promise of Colorado Springs and the families we serve, this is a critical blow and one that – without a solution – could easily push them into a worse situation and away from stability. 

Along with you, our congregational partners, Family Promise has served families facing homelessness for nearly 30 years. For the majority of that time, our shelter program was empowered through our congregational partners. This rotational program served our guests and engaged our volunteers. 

We now believe there is an opportunity to leverage the rotational model to help families living in their vehicles by providing safe parking and pathways to stability.
