Crystal Karr, Executive Director

Crystal loves to find the joy in the messy and muddy areas of life.  She is dedicated to improving this crazy world we share for the betterment of all. She has a BA in Psychology from Ottawa University and a M. Div. from Saint Paul School of Theology in Kansas City, MO. Much of Crystal’s career has been rooted in the issues of Domestic Violence and Child Abuse. Crystal preaches on the side and is approved for Ordination in the United Church of Christ. Crystal, aka Yeti, is a proud member of the Pikes Peak Roller Derby Dames. She is obsessed with skating, tattoos, and Colorado Hot Springs. 


Andrea Grebas, Director of Programs

Andrea is a Colorado Springs native, and returned after graduating college from Concordia University in Seward Nebraska. She has a passion for giving to others, so she has dedicated her career to nonprofits and started her journey at Glen Eyrie as the Volunteer Coordinator and transitioned to working at an at-risk all girls treatment center as a therapeutic school counselor, direct care professional and special events coordinator in Denver. Prior to relocating back to Colorado Springs and becoming part of the Family Promise COS, she helped people with disabilities obtain and maintain community employment and also provided case management services to TANF recipients in Douglas County. She has a deep passion for her career and loves spending time with her family, furbabies, and friends in the mountains, hiking and camping.


Daniel Beilfuss, Director of Operations

Daniel is originally from Wisconsin and moved to Colorado shortly after graduating from St. Norbert College in the early 1990s.  He began a long career in 1993 with the Colorado Department of Human Services, eventually becoming the Director of the Zebulon Pike Youth Services Center from 2008-2020.  Working with at risk populations has always been a calling for Daniel and he considers himself fortunate to be working with the Family Promise of Colorado Springs team. His values and ideals align with the Family Promise mission to “mobilize our community by advocating for and empowering vulnerable families with children to achieve housing stability.”  As Volunteer Manager, Daniel will be working closely with all our dedicated host congregations and volunteers to provide safe, comfortable sleeping rooms to our guest families.  In his free time, Daniel enjoys spending time with family and friends, while taking advantage of all that Colorado has to offer, from fishing and hiking to traveling the small Colorado mountain towns. 


Cindy Weaver, Executive Administrative Assistant

Cindy is new to Family Promise but has been associated with the organization for 4 years through Service Adventure as the Unit Leader of the Service Adventure Volunteers. Her positions as Assistant Director at Xenon International School of Hair Design and Administrator at Journey Mennonite Church (both in Kansas) have given her skills to help assist the awesome executives at Family Promise. 


Kala Roquemore, Public Relations & Donor Manager

Kala is a Colorado Native who lives in Manitou Springs. She has spent many years doing outreach for those who are differently abled and LGBTQIA Youth. Kala is very active in the Pikes Peak Region's theatre scene as an actor, director, and designer. She enjoys a healthy mix of hard work and leisure and is looking forward to serving her community with the wonderful crew at Family Promise.


Julie Robards, Events Manager

Julie was born in Panama City, Panama. She is grateful to have experienced a variety of different cultures, having moved across the United States and living overseas, due to her father being active duty in the U.S Army for 26 years. She has resided in Colorado Springs since 2005; she can speak three different languages, English, Spanish and Italian. She is a mother to a beautiful little girl age 6. She feels greatly fulfilled when she is able to help others in her community. She started working in the mental health community in 2016 and is committed to helping families  at-risk of or experiencing homelessness to become stable and sustainable. Fun fact about her, she is OBSESSED with the color Pink


Erin McNab, Lead Family Services Manager

Erin has worked in housing and mental health programs for more than 7 years. She graduated in 2013 with a BS in psychology. After graduating she was employed in multiple roles at Family Promise. Erin chose to come back to Family Promise because she is committed to helping families   at-risk of or experiencing homeless to become stable and sustainable.


Kristianna Anderson, Shelter Family Services Manager

Kristianna loves to serve, in all compacities. She graduated from Newman School of Social Work as a Master of Social Work. She is currently seeking her Doctorate at Cappella University. Her journey has led her to work with a number of diverse populations here in our beautiful community. She is so excited to be able to have this amazing opportunity to continue to serve and be accepted into the Family Promise family.


Marty Schneider, Family Support Specialist

Marty has lived in Colorado Springs since 1994. He and his wife, Sue, enjoyed raising seven kids along with a parade of dogs and cats. Marty is a retired educator with a heart for families in need. He has an undying obsession with plants of all types and spends excessive amounts of time and energy with his leafy green friends. 


Amber Hudson Family Support Specialist

Amber moved to Colorado Springs from Tennessee 5 years ago and has fallen in love with the scenery, the people, and of course, the unique restaurants. She attends school for Social Work and Public Affairs. Amber has also worked with the homeless for four years through volunteer work or employment. She has a firm belief that their circumstances should not paralyze people and wants to commit her energy to help provide avenues for people to reach their full potential. 


Michaela Bell, Family Support Specialist

Michaela was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. She grew up in Maryland before moving to Colorado in the 3rd grade. he graduated as Salutatorian from Aspen Valley High School in 2015. She started working for New Promise in February 2022.  Michaela has started college to get degree in Social Work and would like to work as an ASL interpreter and/or in mental health for kids. She spends free time outdoors hiking, camping, and with family. 


Lane Heinz, Lead Safety & Security Technician  

Lane graduated from Colorado Mesa University with a bachelor’s degree in Musical Theater in 2013.  After graduation he moved to Oregon where he continued to pursue community theater until finding a permanent position as a Creative Designer for Portland Escape Rooms. After a few years of this he moved back to Colorado Springs. He is currently also a member of service staff at Carter Payne’s Local Relic.

Nyx Archuletta-Henderson, Safety & Security Technician

(they/them pronouns) Nyx is a proud Indigenous Coloradan with a strong family history of community involvement throughout the state. They are even more proud to be serving the community by working with this wonderful organization. Nyx has worked in the security field for over 5 years and has enjoyed mastering their safety skills. They also spend time volunteering by teaching others how to cope with everyday life using art as an outlet. Nyx is an outspoken advocate for improving community mental health and resources throughout El Paso County and Colorado as a whole. When not helping to keep the New Promise grounds safe, they spend time with their two loving partners and their furbabies. Their big family celebrates all the nature that Colorado has to offer as well as hosting video gaming parties with friends.
